CANTV activates Ultra Zones with free internet in hospitals after earthquakes of 24 June

CANTV activated crews to secure telecommunications in hospitals after the double earthquake of last June 24. The technical staff was deployed at strategic public service points.
According to a press release from the state telephone company, these tasks seek to resolve connectivity immediately to support the affected population.
The company installed Ultra Zones at several strategic points, to transform the old telephone booths into modern fiber-optic connection points. Users can access high speed internet by simply scanning a QR code.
This solution makes it easier for hospitalized patients to maintain constant communication with all their families. This digital alternative is already working successfully in the capital's Pérez Carreño and Los Magallanes hospitals. It was also enabled in the Catia Peripheral and the Guarenas-Guatire Hospital. On the other hand, the company installed Gpon technology services to the Venezuela Rescue Group, to optimize the communications of those who are in the affected areas carrying out search tasks
