CANTV initiated the Technological Modernization Plan in the Central Quarter of Tumermo, administrative capital of the Guayana Esequiba state, which includes, in its first phase, the construction of more than 250 optical ports.

According to a press release from CANTV, technological optimization also includes the placement of an Ultra Zone in Plaza Bolívar, in order to guarantee high-speed Internet access to residents and visitors, simply by scanning a QR code.

In this context, the regional authorities of CANTV held a meeting with the Chamber of Commerce and the hotel sector in the area, to present the advantages of GPON technology and guarantee the connection between Bolivar and Negro Primero streets, as well as from Piar Street to El Dorado Street.

The modernization of the networks in the Central Quarter of Tumremo is accompanied and supervised by the Government of the Guayana Esequiba state, championed by Admiral Neil Villamizar, and is carried out through the Secretariat of Public Services and Infrastructure, in charge of Deputy Roy Betancourt, with the objective of ensuring the benefits that the network will bring to the integral development of the population.
