Consolidating its commitment to the democratization of high-speed Internet access, promoted by the Bolivarian Government, to strengthen public services, CANTV is making progress in the expansion of GPON (Gigabit-capable Passive Optical Network) technology in the states of Amazonas and Delta Amacuro, the telephone operator reported in a press release

This strategic initiative translates into the progressive implementation of the Aba Ultra service, 100% fiber optic, benefiting communities that have historically faced limitations in their connectivity options.

In the Cajones de San Enrique sector, located in the Atures municipality of the state of Amazonas, a multidisciplinary CANTV team successfully completed a series of essential technical tasks.

The works include laying approximately 3,400 meters of optical fiber, the strategic installation of terminal boxes to facilitate the distribution of the service, the certification of optical ports to guarantee signal quality, and the commercialization and installation of ONT (Optical Network Terminal) equipment for commercial and residential users.

At the same time, in Delta Amacuro state, CANTV is carrying out similar technical work on Petión and Bolívar streets in the Central Quarter of Tucupita.

The tasks include the laying of the main fiber optic cable, the installation of terminal boxes and the certification of optical ports, all with the purpose of ensuring the availability of the Aba Ultra service for a growing number of users in the region.
