CANTV promotes the creation of new Technical Telecommunications Boards in Monagas

As part of the actions to strengthen community participation in the management of telecommunications services, Cantv promoted the creation of new Technical Telecommunications Boards (MTT) in the towns of Caicara de Maturín and La Toscana, Monagas state.

During citizen meetings held in the municipalities of Cedeño and Piar, the Company accompanied the formation of these instances of Popular Power and guided the attendees on the role of MTT and their contribution to the expansion of telecommunications in the entity.

At the meetings, according to a press release from the telecommunications company, the Company's plans to strengthen telephone and Internet services were also presented, as well as the role of organized communities in the care and protection of networks.

The coordination between CANTV and the communities will allow the leaders of the municipalities Manuel Cedeño, Guerreros de la Patria 2018 and Guerreros de Chávez to promote projects, build Concrete Agendas of Action, strengthen joint work and contribute to the protection of technological infrastructure.

In this regard, Carmelo Cabeza, community spokesperson for La Toscana, said: “We have started a training process to strengthen our knowledge and put it at the service of Popular Power.”

CANTV reaffirms its commitment to strengthening Popular Power through initiatives that promote community organization and contribute to expanding access to and protection of telecommunications services.
