Carabobo FC and Deportivo Táchira lead the Closing Tournament of Venezuela's first division

After the closing of the third round of the 2024 Clausura Tournament, of the Venezuelan First Division, Carabobo FC and Deportivo Táchira took the top of the standings with 7 points each.


The tabby team beat Rayo Zuliano 1-0, with Anthony Uribe's goal in the 10th minute, at the Pachencho Romero stadium in Maracaibo.
With that same result, Metropolitanos FC defeated Zamora FC, the goal being scored by Carlos Paraco 45+2′ at the La Carolina stadium in Barinas.

For their part, Estudiantes de Mérida beat Academia Puerto Cabello 2-1, at the Metropolitan Stadium of the Andean entity. The winning targets were scored by Ángelo Peña at 53′ penalty and Elías Alderete at 55′ . While Rodrigo Rivas made the discount at 70′.

At the Misael Delgado stadium in Valencia,
Carabobo FC and Monagas SC equalized 0-0, the same result between UCV FC and Inter de Barinas, at the Olympic stadium in the capital city.

Meanwhile,
Portuguesa FC fell 0-1 to Caracas FC, with a goal scored by Andris Herrera at 52′, at the La Carolina stadium in Barinas.

At the Olympic stadium in Caracas, Deportivo La Guaira defeated Angostura FC 3-2. The winning goals were scored by Juan Castellano in the 11th minute, Jorge Gutierrez in 16′ and Keiber Lamadrid in 32′ . While José Rondón 45+1′ and Aldry Contreras 86′, managed to discount.

Rayo Zuliano was in third place in the standings with 6 points, while Estudiantes de Mérida, Deportivo La Guaira, Monagas SC and UCV are in fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh place, respectively, with 5 points each, while Caraca FC is eighth with 4 units.
