The Bolivarian Government, through the Ministry of Popular Power for Health (MPPS), delivered a shipment of more than 90,000 units of insulin to the regional warehouse located in the Dr. Enrique Tejera Hospital City in Valencia, Carabobo state.

The material was received by Alexander Leal, the single health authority in Carabobo, who supervised the admission of 90,176 units of the drug, according to a press release from the MPPS.

The batch includes several forms of insulin, in addition to administration devices such as pens, syringes and needles, necessary for compliance with the therapeutic schedule of citizens.

During the day, Leal explained that this office allows the entity's Hospital, Outpatient and Specialized Network to be directly replenished. “We are receiving this shipment for the care of diabetic patients, understanding that this medication is vital for their stability and quality of life,” he said.

The unloading and storage process was carried out by the Regional Warehouse team, under safety and cold chain protocols, to preserve the effectiveness of the doses.

“Human personnel are trained to ensure that the reception meets the technical standards required by the National Public Health System,” Leal said.

He also reported that the distribution of supplies will be carried out immediately to the various hospitals and outpatient clinics in the state, with the aim of ensuring continuity in the treatment of patients with diabetes in the state.
