The candidate of the Bolivarian Revolution, Nicolás Maduro, emphasized that the decision of the Venezuelan people on July 28, “is vital”, since they will choose between being a homeland or a colony, peace or war and guarimba or tranquility.
In that regard, he recalled the events of February 27, 1989, known as El Caracazo, “five thousand dead, a bloodbath, killed the people”, which was a consequence of the agreements signed by former president Carlos Andrés Pérez, “with his government program he lied to the people”.
He stressed that Pérez “was one of the main puppets of the 12 apostles, with their last names (...) and in New York they signed a secret letter with the International Monetary Fund”, which was the trigger for the events of 1989.
That letter in English, delivered to the country, signed by the oligarchic surnames of Caracas, gave Venezuela and its wealth,” he recalled in the municipality of Valencia, in the state of Carabobo, on the occasion of the closing of his electoral campaign, on the way to the Presidential Election, on Sunday, July 28.
He emphasized that, like the current opposition that listens to no one, that agreement of neoliberal capitalism was signed, “what it brings is death, destruction and they didn't listen to anyone, because those surnames are arrogant.”
