Caracas leads the medal table in the national table tennis championship

The National Table Tennis Championship, corresponding to the under-13 and under-15 categories, which takes place this week at the capital's Elizabeth Popper Gymnasium, in San José parish, is so far commanded by the Caracas delegation with three gold and two silver medals.

In the under-13 category, the delegations of Caracas and Anzoátegui staged an outstanding performance when the main titles of the different modalities were distributed.

The representation of Caracas won first place in the men's under-13 team category, accompanied by Anzoátegui in second place and Zulia in third place, according to the press release of the Ministry of Popular Power for Sports.

In the women's division, Anzoátegui won the championship, while Caracas won the silver medal and Lara completed the podium with third place.

In the mixed doubles category, the duo formed by Gabriel Quijada and Susej Gómez, representatives of Anzoátegui, took first place, followed by Yazid Tarache and Valeria Santaella, from Caracas, while Jade Pérez and Juan Pablo Hung, from La Guaira, took third place.

The Caracas couple made up of Valeria Santaella and Albanis Coita won the gold medal in under-13, second place went to Anzoatiguense Miranda Velásquez and Susej Gómez and third place went to Victoria Rigal and Sofía Pérez from Larense.

In men's doubles, Caracas once again celebrated with the duo consisting of Adrián Tovar and Yazid Tarache, while the silver medal went to Isaac Díaz and Gabriel Quijada (Anzoátegui) and Gabriel Angarita and Andrés Motamayor (Aragua) completed the podium with third place.
