At a historic closing of the campaign from Bolívar Avenue in Caracas, this Thursday, the candidate of the Venezuelan revolutionary forces, Nicolás Maduro, once again exalted the resistance of the people to the multiple aggressions promoted by North American imperialism and the extreme right.
He stressed that during his pilgrimage to more than 300 cities in the country he asked each sector of the population “why have they fought and stayed in Venezuela? Why so much resistance? And I found only one answer, one voice: 'we are here, we have resisted because we love our Homeland, because we have faith in what is ours'”.
The revolutionary leader pointed out that “they tried to surrender to the people and this people shouted at them from their centuries-old soul: No one gives up here! You are my example and you have been my inspiration and my strength, your strength is my strength to face everything we have faced. And I can say today, July 25, we have faced the worst aggression in history and the people are standing, victorious and ready for the great victory next Sunday, July 28,” he said.
