The mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, reported this Friday, January 17, about the repair of the trunk road in the Divino Niño sector, in the Coche parish, where nearly 11,000 people live.

The information was released through a post on his account on the social network Instagram, in which he specified that the work comprises two phases, in which three kilometers have already been transformed.

“With this type of work, we have benefited more than 50,000 people who live in the Coche parish, and we are continuing!” , he said.

He pointed out that “the communal circuits activated with their projects, selected in the national popular consultations, and a third phase is coming, which will allow us to complete the trunk road in this sector, which was very poor.”

Meléndez explained that simultaneously, sewage and drinking water pipes were recovered, as well as sidewalks; in addition to the replacement of roofs, façade renovation and landscaping, “thus improving the habitat of the town”.

He highlighted that this community adjacent to Hugo Chávez Park, the Caracas Polyhedron and the Simón Bolívar Monumental Stadium, is optimizing its spaces, together with the Libertador Municipal Services Corporation with 54 brigade members.
