The director of the Caracas Psychiatric Hospital, Nectalí Tovar, detailed institutional strategies aimed at mental health care, during his participation in the program VEN 9-1-1 Contigo, broadcast by MIJ Radio Multimedia.

Tovar emphasized the importance of addressing emotional distress in a timely manner. “Mental health care represents an individual and collective commitment to ensure the stability of citizenship,” he said. He also argued that “emotions not managed properly can lead to complex situations for the family environment.”

During the radio interview, the specialist explained how the available services work. He noted that “the consultation and assistance units remain operational to respond to community requests.”

Finally, Tovar reaffirmed the continuity of awareness-raising days through State communication channels. “Constant prevention makes it possible to identify risk factors and consolidate support networks in the national territory,” he concluded.
