Caraqueños participated in a voluntary blood donation day at the Pérez Carreño Hospital

In the framework of strengthening the National Public Health System (SPNS) and with the premise of ensuring timely care for the population, the Ministry of Health (MinSalud) held a special day of voluntary blood donation at the facilities of the Dr. Miguel Pérez Carreño Hospital.

The operation, according to a press release, had as its main objective to supply the health center's blood bank to provide direct support to hospitalized patients, both for the application of their daily medical treatments and to respond to the hospital's surgical elective.

The activity included the active and supportive participation of the People's Power. Among those in attendance was Desiree Valero, 46 years old and a resident of the El Junquito parish, who attended the call to contribute to this altruistic work.

“Donating blood is an act of love and solidarity. We don't know when a family member or ourselves may need this support, so I invite the community to join these lifesaving days,” Valero said after completing his contribution.
