This Monday, December 15, at night, the People of Caracas went out to march and gather around the National Assembly in a demonstration in defense of national Sovereignty and Independence.

In a perfect Popular-Military-Police Fusion, this activity from the headquarters of the Supreme Court of Justice to the outskirts of the National Assembly was led by the mayor of the Libertador Municipality and leaders of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela and the Great Patriotic Pole Simon Bolivar.

Meléndez highlighted the importance of the date commemorating 26 years of approval of the National Constitution and with it the birth of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

He also recognized the courage of the Venezuelan people in the face of threats and aggressions by Imperialism, and assured that “Revolutionaries will take to the streets to defend our homeland, our resources and our freedom.”

“We came from Simón Bolívar who took him off the pedestals and Chávez did not impregnate them and he is present at all times and as our president Maduro says, Chavism is Bolivarianism in the 21st century,” he said.

This mobilization was added to activities throughout the country in defense of Sovereignty and in support of President Nicolás Maduro.
