The National Book Center (CENAL) gave copies of the “25 for 25” collection to young people from the cheerleading club of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), as part of its strategy to promote reading in sports spaces.
During the activity, carried out within the framework of “Cheer Camp III”, the athletes shared books during a training break, on a day that combined sports training and access to literature, as reported by Venezolana de Televisión.
The Monte Ávila Editores Latinoamericana module, installed in the indoor gym of the university city of Caracas, allowed participants to explore the available titles and promote direct contact with the printed book.
The initiative is part of the free distribution plan for this collection aimed at young people, which seeks to promote reading habits and bring works by Latin American authors closer to new generations in different environments. In addition, CENAL reiterated its commitment to continue taking the collection to various spaces linked to youth development, with the objective of integrating reading with educational, cultural and sports dynamics.
