CENAL opened registrations for the 1st Teresa de la Parra National Youth Literature Competition

The National Book Center (CENAL) reported that registrations are now open for the 1st Teresa de la Parra National Youth Literature Competition, for girls and adolescents from Venezuela, until March 15.

In this regard, he invited high school students across the country to participate and enjoy the legacy of those who remain alive as an unavoidable influence on the writing of different generations of creators in the country.

In this competition organized by the Ministry for Culture, girls and adolescents from 12 to 14 years of age, Venezuelan or foreign resident in the country, may participate, through letters or stories, and from 15 to 18 years of age with stories, letters or essays.

The jury will select a short story, a letter and an essay by state, which will be published in an anthology by Monte Ávila Editores (printed and digital).

The theme is free and the texts must be unpublished. Papers can be sent to the email: [email protected], and those that comply with the rules published on the website www.cenal.gob.ve will be received.

It is important to note that the authors of the winning works will receive a certificate granted by the National Book Center, Venezuelan Television Review.
