The Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Yván Gil, warned of the negative impact that Javier Milei's request to apply the Rome Statute to the government will have on Argentina's international reputation
Yván Gil says that the Argentine government's erratic use of the Rome Statute is a clear indication of its ignorance about fundamental issues in the international arena. He stated that the attempt to manipulate legal documents to justify his policies reflects a lack of preparation. It also, he adds, evidences a political obsession that borders on the pathetic.
The Venezuelan foreign minister stressed that officials of the Milei government, characterized by their extreme and coup agenda, have opted for erratic diplomatic actions. The reason, according to Gil, is to divert attention from his own failures.
He also highlights that the use of justice and human rights as tools for a desperate agenda is a strategy that, in addition to being baseless, undermines the credibility of his country internationally.
Milei's puppet government officials, who are involved in an extreme right-wing coup and terrorist agenda against Venezuela, use erratic diplomatic actions to justify their own failure and complicity.
He added that the diplomatic fiasco of the current government has made Argentina an object of ridicule in international forums. This situation not only hurts the country's foreign relations, but it also affects the image and respect that the South American nation must maintain on the global stage, he said.
“The fiasco they have become only reaffirms them as the laughing stock of global diplomacy,” Yván Gil wrote on his Telegram account.
