Chemistry caravan arrived at a temporary camp set up in San Martín

The Chemistry Caravan successfully arrived at the Transitional Camp located at the facilities of the Dr. Luis Padrino Bolivarian National Educational Unit, located on San Martín Avenue, in the Libertador municipality of Caracas.

This educational and interactive activity, framed in the Venezuela Renace plan and the Scientific Seedbeds, seeks, during the vacation period, to promote and motivate the interest of children and young people in knowledge in the areas of chemistry, robotics, mathematics and logical reasoning.

According to a press release, the scientific deployment was distributed in four knowledge stations, where a total of 47 girls and boys were treated with fun dynamics.

The participants explored the microscopic environment through two optical microscopes that magnify samples up to a thousand times their real size. During the practical activity, they carried out the recognition of the equipment, the handling and calibration of lenses, the preparation of samples and the observation guided by FIIIDT specialists.

For its part, the robotics station allowed the little ones to solve puzzles, word puzzles and assemble robot prototypes, stimulating creativity, logical thinking, problem solving and fine motor skills. In addition, the wonderful world of mathematics was presented through games of wits, a combination of pieces, basic computer notions and numerical challenges that encouraged concentration and visual memory.
