Chess player Vicmary Pérez climbed to the top of the podium at the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games

Pérez achieved stellar participation in chess when he was crowned on the first women's fast board where he obtained a score of 12.0, resulting in 12 victories and a performance of 2222.

For his part, still compatriot Felix Ynojisa placed third in the men's general classification with a total of 11.0 points and a performance of 2471, to take the bronze one.
