The National System of Youth and Children's Orchestras and Choirs of Venezuela, together with authorities from Caracas, deployed in the Transitional Camp of the José Gervasio Artigas Educational Complex, to provide company to hosted families through recreational, health and well-being activities.
In addition, the National System of Youth and Children's Orchestras and Choirs of Venezuela, Núcleo Propatria, offered a workshop to the boys and girls of the camp.
“Our intention is to make people try to deal with the consequences of this unfortunate earthquake in the best way; if it's with music, much better. We want these children to enjoy playing an instrument, to be distracted and smile, listening to or playing the four, the maraca and the drum,” emphasized the director of the Propatria Nucleus, Jenifer Cecilia Francia.
For her part, the representative of the Government of Caracas and head of the Golden Dreams Foundation, Nancy Villegas, reaffirmed that this deployment provides “a helping hand to all those people who need it; we know that the situation is difficult, but with faith and hope, we will continue to help.”
The residents of the Transitional Camp have a hairdresser, pharmacy and social welfare; in addition, the space offers care to neurodivergent people, who experience the world in a different way.
