The Chilean Broad Front condemned the U.S. military aggression against Venezuela and the kidnapping of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and the first lady, Cilia Flores, and reaffirmed its defense of sovereignty.
The president of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Chilean Chamber of Deputies, Ericka Ñanco, a member of the Broad Front, categorically rejected the attacks carried out by the United States on Venezuelan territory, since they constitute a violation of international law and a serious threat to the sovereignty of the peoples of the region, VTV reported.
“U.S. actions respond to a geopolitical logic that revives a historic doctrine of intervention in Latin America,” he said.
He also emphasized that it is Venezuela itself that must resolve its issues without external interference.
