This Thursday, the Government of the People's Republic of China sent new sanctions against United States (US) companies that have transferred weapons or military equipment to Taiwan, as reported by the Ministry of Commerce of the Asian nation.
The measure restricts any export from China to sanctioned entities and requires the immediate interruption of any commercial link.
“In order to safeguard security and national interests and to comply with international obligations such as non-proliferation, General Dynamics and 28 other U.S. entities have been included in the export control list,” said the Ministry of Commerce.
The measure prevents the export of dual-use products to the 28 U.S. entities. In addition, that currently related export operations must cease immediately.
In addition, China has pointed out that if the export is really necessary under special circumstances, the exporting operator must request it from the Ministry of Commerce.
