China increased its GDP by 5% during 2024

The National Bureau of Statistics of China reported that the Asian nation's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased by 5% in 2024.
In this regard, the institution stressed that the increase is due to challenges met and overcome in the commercial sector.
“China's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 5% year-on-year and reached 134.9 trillion yuan (18.41 trillion dollars) in 2024, surpassing the 130 trillion yuan mark for the first time,” the National Bureau of Statistics said.
For its part, The Global Times, in one of its articles, noted that this growth reaffirms that China is the second best in the world.
“It has successfully navigated rough waters and has maintained its good growth momentum,” said The Global Times.
