On Tuesday, China launched a new group of low-Earth orbit satellites from the Wenchang Space Launch Site, located in Hainan province.

Local media reported that this set of satellites is the second of its kind, intended to form a constellation to provide Internet services.

The launch took place at 17:30 (Beijing local time), using a modified Long March-8 carrier rocket. It was confirmed that the satellites successfully entered the planned orbit after the launch.

This launch marks the 559th flight mission in the Long March carrier rocket series. The successful placement of these satellites in orbit represents a significant step forward in China's efforts to expand its Internet network through a space constellation, Telesur reported.
