China reiterates its support for Cuba and demands that the United States stop threatening the Caribbean nation immediately.

“China firmly supports Cuba in the defense of its state sovereignty and security, and opposes any foreign interference and once again asks the United States to lift the embargo, sanctions and to stop threatening the largest of the Antilles immediately,” said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning.

Mao noted that China also urges the US to take additional measures to promote peace and stability in the region, reports the Sputnik agency.

Recently, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, assumed that in his opinion the only way to exert even more pressure on Cuba is to “completely destroy it” and announced that the island country would stop receiving money and oil from Venezuela.
