China supports the incorporation of Palestine into the BRICS

This Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China expressed its support for Palestine's request to join the BRICS bloc, which has a growing global leadership in promoting multilateralism, cooperation and mutually advantageous economic exchange between sovereign states that represent an emerging, multipolar world.

The foreign ministry spokesman, Guo Jiakun, stressed that his country welcomes the integration of new partners that share the same principles of cooperation.

“We welcome the participation of like-minded partners in cooperation within the BRICS framework and joint assistance to move towards a more just and equitable international order,” the spokesman said at a press conference.

The Palestinian ambassador in Moscow, Abdel Hafiz Nofal, confirmed that the application for membership had been formally submitted, although he acknowledged that, due to certain limitations, Palestinian participation could begin as an observer.

“We haven't received a response yet. I believe that Palestine will participate in the association as a guest until conditions allow it to become a full member,” he said.
