China urges the United States to cease attacks in the Caribbean

China urged the United States (US) to suspend military operations that violate Caribbean sovereignty, after American ships were sent and maritime vessels attacked in the area.

This was reported by the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Guo Jiakun, called for the resumption of judicial and police cooperation mechanisms through bilateral and multilateral agreements, reported the Gramma Journal.

For her part, the director of the Information Department of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mao Ning, responded to a question from Prensa Latina, stressing that “the threat or use of military means should not be part of relations between nations.”

“We are opposed to external forces interfering in Venezuela's internal affairs under any pretext. We hope that the United States will do more for the good of Latin America and the Caribbean,” the spokeswoman stressed.

The official also rejected any attempt to interfere in Venezuela's internal affairs and urged the United States to contribute constructively to the Latin American context.
