CICPC arrested two individuals for theft of cables belonging to CANTV

Two individuals were arrested by a commission of the Criminal and Criminal Scientific Investigations Corps (CICPC) for their responsibility in the theft of cables belonging to the Venezuelan Telephone Company (CANTV).


According to information published by the commissioner general of this Police Force, Douglas Rico, the incident occurred in the state of Aragua, where Jonathan Alexander Aponte Aquino, alias El Mono and Enmanuel Isaac González Álvarez, were arrested.


“The community of Pedro José Ovalles parish, Girardot municipality, Aragua state, was being hit by this criminal duo, who, through skill, stole cables belonging to Cantv, in order to commercialize it and make a profit for the harm of the inhabitants, Rico reported.


He also explained that at the time of the arrest, these subjects were verified in the Police Investigation and Information System (SIIPOL), “showing that Jonathan has records for common generic theft and Enmanuel for illegal trafficking in metals, precious stones and strategic materials; for which they were arrested and placed under the command of the Public Ministry.”
