The Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC) captured six individuals responsible for the voracious fire that occurred last September 12, in the internal parking lot of the Simón Bolívar Central Station of the Barquisimeto Mass Transportation System (Transbarca), in Lara state.

According to information published by the director of the CICPC, Douglas Rico, on his account on the social network Instagram, those responsible for the fire in which 11 Transbarca buses were burned belonged to a criminal gang in the state of Lara, dedicated to the theft of vehicle parts.

Among those arrested are three minors and other individuals identified as: Cristian Hernández (19), José Evies (29) and Deiviso Vargas (32).

The capture of the six subjects was carried out in the facilities of the Barquisimeto Municipal Cemetery, in the municipality of Iribarren, of this entity.

Rico also announced that there is one 17-year-old boy left to be arrested, who has records for illegal trafficking in strategic materials.

He noted that after the investigations, the scientific police officers determined that the arrested subjects used a type of gasoline to generate, in a premeditated manner, the fire in a transport unit located in the Transbarca parking lot.

He explained that the voracious fire got out of control and spread to the other 10 affected bus units, from which the subjects took advantage of removing plastic and aluminum covers that cover the copper material, in order to market them in a scrap yard.
