CICPC neutralizes dangerous criminal during legal intervention in El Cementerio

After extensive fieldwork and intelligence carried out by officials of the Investigations Division of the Criminal and Criminal Scientific Investigations Corps (CICPC), the location of 37-year-old José Alejandro Espinoza Álvarez, nicknamed “El Gordo”, was found, a dangerous criminal who was dedicated to carrying out various armed robberies, vehicle thefts and had been deprived of his liberty for homicide.

The troops in Bogotá Avenue, Los Sin Techos sector, Santa Rosalía parish, Libertador municipality, Caracas, were able to find the location of this individual, who, upon noticing the presence of the officials, drew a pistol-type firearm, which acted against the commissions, causing an exchange of gunfire in which he was injured and taken to the Peripheral Car Hospital, where he later died.

It became known that, for the crimes mentioned above, Heber Martínez (36) was arrested in Puente Baloa, Petare parish, Sucre municipality, Miranda state, where five thousand dollars were recovered in cash, property of those affected and a cell phone. Oswaldo Regalado (33), who is being actively sought by the authorities, remains to be arrested.

Espinoza Álvarez, also filed two requests by the 13th and 29th Courts for aggravated theft, agavigation and personal injury, and aggravated theft of vehicles. It should be noted that the national Government instructed State security bodies to dismantle all criminal gangs that plague different areas of the national territory.
