The Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC) promotes the “Don't Get Engaged with Networks” Plan, aimed at preventing viral challenges and encouraging parents and representatives to maintain control over what their children consume and represented through these platforms

The Ministry of Popular Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, on its account on the social network Instagram, reported that the coordinator of Research and Social Action of the Comprehensive Crime Prevention Division of the Scientific Police, Urkisa Niño Olivo, during the radio program, “Let's Talk About Prevention CICPC”, indicated that this initiative is of vital importance to understand and act in the face of an act of violence triggered by seen on social networks.

“These actions seek to counteract the harmful effects caused by so-called 'viral challenges' among girls, boys and young people,” she said.

Niño urged teaching professionals to motivate the student population through their teaching practice to set goals for positive ends for their lives and thus prevent girls, boys and adolescents from engaging in this type of action.

He explained that this digital phenomenon, which is promoted through Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, other digital platforms, occurs in schools due to social pressure from those who promote such practices, which go against their physical integrity.

The “Don't Get Entangled with Networks” Plan is the preventive axis whose objective is to prevent new generations from becoming potential victims of any circumstance generated by social networks.
