The State Research Center Foundation for Experimental Agroindustrial Production (CIEPE) taught in Yaracuy state the theoretical-practical course “Formulation and Standardization of Biocontrollers from Botanical Extracts”. The main purpose of this training day, aimed at students and professionals in the agri-food sector, was to transfer scientific knowledge to progressively replace synthetic agrochemicals with sustainable biotechnological alternatives in the Venezuelan countryside.

During the activity, participants delved into scientific methodologies for the extraction of plant active ingredients and standardization processes, fundamental tools for ensuring the effectiveness of organic formulations. These solutions seek not only to optimize the control of pests and diseases in domestic crops, but also to protect the health of consumers and preserve the balance of ecosystems through the use of local natural resources.

This academic deployment aligns with the third vertex of the Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán Great Science, Technology and Innovation Mission, which prioritizes technology-based domestic production.
