Cinemateca Nacional begins international film series in Caracas

Until August 23, the International Film Series will be held in the hall of the Museum of Fine Arts of the National Cinematheque. The meeting will be held with free admission, to enjoy pieces from great foreign directors.

On Thursday 20th it will be the turn of Hamnet, directed by Cloé Zhao, at 4:15 p.m. The play, based on the novel of the same name by Maggie O'Farrell, reconstructs William Shakespeare's family life by focusing on grief, conjugal love and loss. The program continues on Friday the 21st with Our Earth, by Lucrecia Martel, a documentary that reconstructs the murder of Javier Chocobar, leader of the Chuschagasta indigenous community (Tucumán), and the long judicial process that followed.

The cycle continues on Saturday, August 22 at 4:00 p.m., with Bugonia, by Yorgos Lanthimos, a film that mixes science fiction and dark comedy. The meeting with the great international directors will end on Sunday 23 at 4:00 p.m., when the public will be able to enjoy the film Wallace and Gromit: The Most Atrocious Revenge, directed by Nick Park and Merlin Crossingham.
