The heavy rains recorded on the night of this Tuesday, January 13, caused the fall of two trees on the Cruz Carrillo highway, known as the Eje Vial, specifically in the direction of Valera - Trujillo, officials from the regional Directorate of Civil Protection reported.

In their accounts on the social network Instagram, they explain that the incident temporarily hindered vehicle traffic, which prompted the immediate deployment of teams from the Operational Zone for Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (ZOEDAN) to carry out road rolling and clearing tasks.

Also, the Civil Protection Department of the Valera municipality reported through its user on social networks that, due to the rainfall recorded in the last few hours, the orange officials worked in an articulated manner with the team of the Maintenance, Cleaning and Ornato Company (EMAO) to attend to the fall of a tree in the lower part of the San Miguel sector, of the Mercedes Díaz parish.

In addition to clearing plant material, the experts carried out a technical evaluation of the stability of the slope in the affected area. “We maintain preventive deployment to ensure the safety of our communities,” they highlighted through their official account.
