Officials from Táchira Civil Protection deployed early this Monday morning after the intense rainfall recorded in the state, which caused the partial collapse of an artisanal building, located on Carrera 15 and 16th Street in San Cristóbal.

According to information released by Venezolana de Televisión, security forces moved to the site to assess structural damage and mitigate risks associated with housing instability, which has undergone progressive wear and tear due to recent weather conditions.

It was known that during the inspection, the material deterioration of the building was found, composed mainly of old elements such as cane brava and bahareque, which partially subsided due to excess moisture. In addition, the required preventive recommendations were provided to the inhabitants and neighbors in order to protect the physical integrity of citizens against possible additional detonations.
