The Legislative Council of Yaracuy State (CLEY) approved in regular session agreements 016 and 017, which declare as Intangible Cultural Heritage the Valorarte Cooperative Association and the Araguaney Theater Group, both from the Urachiche municipality and leading exponents of culture, traditions, customs and popular expressions, which have enriched the entity's idiosyncrasy for 20 years.

According to information from Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), the event was led by the president of CLEY, Nelby Galíndez and the vice-president, Ányela Rangel, who unanimously approved the property agreements.

Galíndez explained that the House of Laws recognizes and celebrates the trajectory of the social fighter, Benigno “Gato” Rodríguez, who founded this cultural organization, which consolidated and maintained traditional values in families and communities to enrich theatrical culture.

In the same way, he highlighted the artistic legacy of these institutions, which have transcended national borders, to achieve meritorious recognition. “From the Regional Parliament, we continue to promote, with the help of our president Nicolás Maduro and Governor Julio León Heredia, the development of the cultural legacy,” he said.

For his part, Rangel noted that, “with the issuance of this agreement, we ratify the artistic, historical, solidarity and peace values, which for 20 years have carried throughout the territory, since its inception a project of distraction and enjoyment of the Yaracuyan people, demonstrating, based on talent and creativity, the art and richness of acting training”.
