As part of the progressive development of the electoral schedule and in strict accordance with the provisions of Article 70 of the Organic Law on Electoral Processes (LOPRE) and Article 197 of the General Regulations of the LOPRE, the National Electoral Council (CNE) held this Thursday the Ballot Position Choice Act for the 2025 municipal elections.

The event took place with the presence of accredited representatives of organizations for political purposes, who participated in an active and orderly manner in the process that defined the place that their respective cards will occupy in the voting instrument. In total, 36 organizations for national political purposes, 10 organizations for regional political purposes, three national indigenous organizations and four regional indigenous organizations took part in this event, reflecting the diversity and political plurality of the country.

During the day, the technical and public nature of the procedure was highlighted, which was carried out in accordance with the principles of equality, impartiality and publicity, to ensure that all participating organizations had the same conditions for the random selection of their position on the ballot.

In this regard, from the Electoral Power, citizens were invited to familiarize themselves with the voting instrument that will be used in the 2025 municipal elections, a fundamental tool for the free and conscious exercise of suffrage, and which will be available for public consultation through official channels.
