OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
The Electoral Power, the National
Electoral Council, addresses national and international public opinion, with the
purpose of categorically rejecting bombings and air attacks aimed at
State facilities and homes of the population, causing the deaths of public
servants and civilians in the city of Caracas, Aragua, Miranda and the
state of La Guaira, but even more serious the vile kidnapping of our
Constitutional President Nicolás Maduro Moros and the First Lady Dr. Cilia Flores de Maduro, in military actions
executed by the Donald Trump administration, once again
violating international law, we therefore demand
proof of life, physical integrity, respect for human rights and the immediate
release of the Head of State and Government and the First Lady. It is a legitimate
demand that arises from the seriousness of the threats and attacks. The

exercise of Democracy.
The International Community, the United Nations (UN), the Security Council, the Governments and Peoples of the World must reject
the attack on the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which
represents incalculable damage to Our Homeland, committing crimes against humanity by the North American Government

This armed incursion, disguised as false
pretexts for the fight against drug trafficking, constitutes a flagrant violation
of international law, the Charter of the United Nations and other
elementary principles of peaceful coexistence between States. It is an act
of criminal imperialism that seeks to subdue the will of a Free and
Dignified People who are neither producers nor users of drugs.
The Venezuelan People will continue to honor and
defend the Homeland, in accordance with the provisions of article 130 of the
Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
From the Electoral Power, we support the struggle
of the National Government and the Venezuelan People to guarantee the peace,
independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Bolivarian
Republic of Venezuela.
