Cojedes health centers will be equipped to improve care

Hospitals in the state of Cojedes will be equipped with the intention of optimizing operation, according to information issued by the entity's single health authority, Dr. Manuel Rodríguez.

Rodríguez explained that among the health centers to be repowered are the Comprehensive Care Unit for Women and the Center for High Technology (CAT), the Juan Aponte Hospital located in El Baúl, Girardot municipality and the Dr. Egor Nucete Hospital.

In this regard, she noted that the Comprehensive Care Unit for Women will have a mammograph and bone densitometer and will have the clinical laboratory to monitor hormonal studies. While “the Gynecology and Obstetrics Unit will have a state-of-the-art ultrasound scanner, a colposcope to treat women with cervical pathologies, which allows us to have a more accurate diagnosis and create specific therapies to improve the health of our women, the X-ray service has also been reactivated”.

He also stressed that, through the agreements established with Cuba, through the company Vensalud CA, together with the electromedicine team of Barrio Adentro, the High Technology Center located behind the Universidad Deportiva del Sur, in San Carlos, the magnetic resonance equipment will be activated .
