This Friday, the Third National Assembly for Peace will be held in Bogotá, Colombia, with the objective of contributing to the political solution of the conflict in various areas and promoting the participation of society, Prensa Latina explained.
The León de Greiff Auditorium of the National University will be the meeting place where the peace process will be analyzed and alternatives to face other forms of violence are presented, while contributing to the construction of an inclusive social movement, democracy and social justice.
This Assembly is taking place as part of the events organized to commemorate the eighth anniversary of the signing of the Final Peace Agreement between the Government and the extinct Revolutionary Armed Forces - People's Army in November 2016.
Recently, an adjustment to the PMI was approved that establishes priorities in the implementation of Development Plans with a Territorial Approach, reintegration programs, land distribution and poverty reduction, in line with the national government's national development strategy.
The amendment included 81 new indicators and 125 adjusted indicators, which will be catalysts for the execution of the agreement, and will be decisive in adding dynamism and agility to the Implementation Acceleration Shock Plan and the regional pacts that result from it.
The Colombian Ministry of the Interior, in the adjusted Framework Plan, will allow entities with responsibilities to have the necessary and sufficient tools, especially those that determine the resources available, for the implementation of the agreement adjusted to the country's fiscal and economic reality in 2024.
