The Government of Colombia proposed a Security Summit with Venezuela and Mexico to respond to the Pegasus virus used by Iván Duque to destabilize progressive governments such as those of presidents Nicolás Maduro and Gustavo Petro.

The announcement comes after the Colombian Congress indicated that there will be an investigation regarding the use of this software to spy that Duque acquired in 2021 through drug trafficking money and money laundering.

Pegasus seeks to destabilize progressive governments,” said Colombian Senator Antonio Correa, of the Party of the U.

According to what was published on the VTV web portal, Correa stressed that the interference was not limited to Colombia. “Where has the noise and effectiveness of Pegasus existed? It began in Mexico, at a time when President López Obrador had just arrived, a progressive government,” he said.
