Commander of ZODI Sucre reported on the seizure of weapons of American origin

As part of the day of the First Black Mission, from the coast of Sucre state, Vice Admiral Ángel Francisco Rivero García, commander of the Integral Defense Operational Zone (ZODI) No. 53, provided details about Operation Cumanagoto 200.
The vice-admiral explained that “the seizure of four Ak3 rifles, medium automatic rifles, 16 rifle magazines with optical sights and two green tactical vests that were hidden in a mountainous area of the El Tamarindo sector, quadrant number 1".
In addition, 17 boats, 23 weapons of different calibers have been arrested, in addition to 16 improvised logistics bases, a total of 484 land patrols.
The Minister of Popular Power for the Defense of Venezuela, Vladimir Padrino López, stressed that all the weapons seized “are of American origin. What is happening in the United States (USA)? It's one of the biggest businesses; apart from drug trafficking, it's precisely arms trafficking.”
In this regard, he questioned the interest of illegal trafficking in weapons by the United States that are allegedly linked to crime to attack the government or are aimed at drug traffickers.
“Every day, the Directorate of Arms and Explosives of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces is receiving... and part of 95% of the weapons are of North American origin, and of the missions it is also important that we have in sight,” the minister stressed.
