This Friday, January 17, the commission of civil and military historians was installed to reconstruct the country's military history, instructed by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, last December.

This commission met in the office of the Minister of Popular Power for Defense, G/J Vladimir Padrino López and the Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas.

In this regard, Villegas, on his account on the social network Instagram, explained that this commission will be responsible for reconstructing the military history of Venezuela.

He took the opportunity to thank Minister Padrino López for his hospitality, “as well as the enthusiasm shared by all the participants in this exciting task”.

Last Friday, December 6, President Maduro announced that after deciding to appoint the Presidential Commission created to rebuild the military evolution of Venezuela, work would be done on a collection of historical documents to present a story of five centuries, from the struggles of the Grand Chief Guaicaipura to the refounding of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) by Commander Hugo Chávez.

He indicated that G/D Frank Zurita would be in charge of this work to coordinate with a group of Venezuelan historians, both civil and military, and highlight this part of Venezuelan history.
