The communal people took to the streets of Caracas to express their unconditional support and demand the release of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, and the first lady, Cilia Flores.

In an environment of deep patriotic loyalty, grass-roots organizations and social movements raised their voices to demand respect for the sovereignty and integrity of their leaders.

Cilia Flores has shown courage, she has not left President Maduro alone, she has decided to accompany him in every step of this fight,” said María Fernanda González, member of the Popular Collective of Anzoátegui.

For his part, José Colmenares, a community worker, denounced foreign aggression, referring to the fact that the United States intends to become the world's policeman. “This terrorist government led by Donald Trump attacked innocent people on January 3rd, and today the people are responding in the streets.”

Luisa Rodríguez, spokesperson for the youth, highlighted the president's anti-imperialist character: “President Nicolás Maduro is a patriotic man, today turned into a prisoner of war for defending the sovereignty of Venezuela”

Carlos Alberto Mendoza, a member of a Miranda community council, underscored international rejection.

“The international community and nations have repudiated this kidnapping and demand respect for the will of the Venezuelan people to return their president,” he said.
