The Communist Party of Chile strongly rejected and condemned the criminal aggression of the United States government, ordered by President Donald Trump, against Venezuela and its government.
In a statement, he emphasized that this is a criminal military action that directly affects all nations of our continent and that it will have serious consequences for peace and stability in the region.
“We express our solidarity with the Venezuelan people, with the families of the people killed and with all their victims,” the document said.
He also emphasized that Chile knows, through its own history, what North American intervention means, which seeks to appropriate countries, their natural resources and their energy sources, violating the sovereignty of peoples.
In this regard, he called on the Government of Chile to act and speak out with extreme urgency in the face of this serious situation.
It also demanded an immediate call from the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC). “Our continent, declared a Zone of Peace, has been violently violated by criminal and savage military aggression, which has no justification.
“All the peoples of America have been attacked. All nations of the continent have been threatened with peace and regional coexistence as a result of this criminal intervention,” he said.
The letter also demands that the United Nations intervene with extreme urgency to stop this escalation of violence.
“Faced with versions coming from the United States, we demand that the lives of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife be protected in an unrestricted manner. The Donald Trump administration has declared war not only on Venezuela, but also on the peoples of the world,” he denounced.
