A series of loans were approved for the communal banks of three municipalities in the state of Trujillo, in order to support coffee farmers. These credits were granted during the development of a Grand Community Assembly in the spaces of the Néstor Rosales Gymnasium, at a meeting led by the Minister for Communes, Ángel Prado; as well as the governor of the Andean entity, Gerardo Márquez.

Specifically, Prado announced that ten communal banks in three municipalities in Trujillo state — two in Candelaria, three in Pampán and five in Juan Vicente Campo Elías — will receive specific support to support small coffee producers, through a fertilization plan that promotes agricultural sustainability and local development.

“Today, together with our brother governor Gerardo Márquez, we are coming to a big meeting with coffee producers here, (...) We are committed that in the next few days, there will be Gandolas arriving with fertilizers and fuel because we are in the coffee harvest phase.”

He also asserted: “The communal banks in these communes of Santa Ana will receive funding to serve small coffee producers and are guaranteed to meet the prices established in the coffee gazette.”

On the other hand, he reported on the approval of funding for 40 communes and communal circuits in the Trujillo territory, so that the People's Power can implement projects related to public services and improvements in communal infrastructure.
