Community Vacation Plan begins this August 1st to serve camps and communities

The Route of Hope will be part of the Laugh 2026 Community Vacation Plan, which will begin this Saturday and will take place throughout the month of August with recreational, cultural and support activities aimed at children and adolescents in temporary camps and communities across the country.

This was reported by the Deputy Minister of Culture, Gabriela Simoza, where she explained that the program will extend beyond the protective spaces set up after the earthquakes of June 24, to reach different sectors of the national territory simultaneously.

As part of the deployment, the program will have multidisciplinary teams composed of specialists, therapists, cultural promoters, artists and recreational people, who will develop activities aimed at emotional support, recreation, artistic training and the strengthening of community coexistence.

The incorporation of the Route of Hope into the vacation plan seeks to reinforce comprehensive care for children during the school vacation period, especially in areas affected by the seismic emergency, through safe spaces that promote well-being, integration and emotional recovery.
