Compañía Nacional de Teatro presented agenda for the second quarter of 2026

The National Theater Company (CNT) announced its cultural agenda for the second quarter of 2026, with a program that includes reruns, national tours and commemorative activities aimed at promoting Venezuelan performing arts.
As part of the lineup, the revival of the musical comedy “Mr. Hamlet”, by Aquiles Nazoa, which will be presented from April 23 to May 3 at the Alberto de Paz y Mateos Theater, in Caracas, according to a note from the Ministry of Culture.
Later, the play will begin a national tour between May 16 and June 6, together with the staging “The Burning of Judas”, by Román Chalbaud, expanding its reach to different regions of the country.
The agenda also includes special activities such as the commemoration of the centenary of the birth of Humberto Orsini starting on May 4, as well as the celebration of Dramaturgy Day on May 14 and the anniversary of the CNT on the 22nd of that same month.
As part of the Bicentennial of the Panamanian Amphictyonic Congress, the institution will present a performance that will integrate theater, music and dance, while the youth cast of the San Martín Theater will stage the play “One Day in July or Who Was Verne” from June 13 to 28.
With this program, the CNT reinforces its policy of training, creation and dissemination of Venezuelan theater, consolidating spaces for national talent and public access to diverse cultural proposals.
