This
weekend in the spaces of the Generalissimo Francisco de Miranda Park,
Sucre municipality, the conference “Our Culture is Peace” was held,
with the participation of families from Miranda and Caracas in this activity dedicated
to identity, community encounter and coexistence.
The Deputy Minister
of Culture, Karen
Millán, who accompanied the day, stressed that these days
reflect the will of the Venezuelan people to remain united in peace and
coexistence, affirming that culture “is the moral foundation of the nation” and a fundamental
axis for the defense of sovereignty and identity.
“We are
setting an example to the world of resistance and a sense of belonging. We are a peaceful people who want to live in peace, but with enough gallantry to
defend the Homeland when it is required,” he emphasized.
The activity,
carried out in the early hours of the morning, offered a
cultural and recreational program that included dance therapy, traditional games, sports, circus
arts, craft workshops, reading, making parrots and training
activities, promoted in an articulated manner by the Ministries of Popular Power for Culture, Youth and Sports.
National identity had a central space with traditional presentations such as Las Madamas and Joropo, which brought cultural expressions from El Callao and the Venezuelan Plains to the park, strengthening the link between tradition, memory and territory.
