Between March 14 and 16, in the spaces of the Institute for the Training and Recreation of Workers (Incret), located in El Paraíso, Caracas, the International Congress for the Decolonization of Education and the Self-Determination of Peoples will take place, said the president of the National Union for the Unitary Teachers' Force (Sinafum), Orlando Pérez.

In an interview with Venezolana de Televisión, Pérez explained that during this activity, a geopolitical analysis of the continental situation and the repercussions of imperial politics will be carried out.

Pérez explained that the conference will include education leaders from Peru, Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Bolivia and Venezuela. “Our purpose in the continent is to unify an opinion of pedagogical construction, an anti-imperialist policy, of the unity of peoples and the integration of the great homeland,” he stressed.

He stressed that the country's position is that Bolivarianism must be assumed, in order to confront the Monroe doctrine that continues to attack peoples, such as the military base installed by the United States Southern Command in Ecuador, as well as the coup against Professor Pedro Castillo promoted by fascism.
