The deputy to the National Assembly (AN), Jesús Fária, pointed out that the United States is heading towards a recession, as a result of the tariff war declared by President Donald Trump with the imposition of tariffs against the entire world.

During an interview with Venezolana de Televisión, he described the decision of the US president as an economic disaster, because in his opinion Trump does not care about the consequences of these impositions.

“This is outside the laws, it is the arrogance of a decadent empire with a president who is disruptive and adventurous, who cares absolutely nothing about the consequences of the measures he may adopt,” he said.

He pointed out that the US economic model became a parasitic commercial and financial system, so the real estate magnate would be seeking to reverse the deficit in these matters through taxes on imports made by third parties.

Fária also stressed that the North American country has become the most indebted economy on the planet, due to the decline in its productivity, so he insisted that this country is heading towards a recession in the second half of this year.

“It is the most indebted economy on the entire planet and from the point of view of production it is subject to hegemony; and that allows it to suck resources from all over the world and allow that standard of living to be maintained,” he said.
